Beth Westeren Romig grew up in Columbia, SC, but spent a lot of time at her grandmother’s dairy goat farm near Atlanta. There she learned to love and care for a variety of animals. After earning her BS in Animal Science at Clemson University, she attended the University of Georgia for veterinary school.
Dr. Romig studied both small and large animal medicine and was awarded her DVM in 2009. She stayed at UGA for another year as an ambulatory intern in large animal medicine, surgery and theriogenology; she then filled in as the interim intern in the zoological medicine service.
While finishing her internships, Dr. Romig received a scholarship to study Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL. She completed the intensive program in 2010, and then went the extra step to become certified in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) in February 2011. Visit her website at www.southeastvetservices.com for more information regarding Accupuncture.
Beth moved to Greenville, SC in 2010 where she lives with her husband, Bryan. In her spare time, she volunteers at the Greenville Zoo, practices yoga and enjoys reading. She loves doing just about anything outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
